CAMMY MAMMY!!

So this is my brother....

He's pretty awesome.  And I'm pretty determined that he's coming to Utah State next year so we can party all the time.

Some things to know about Cameron:

  • He loves hot cheetos.
  • He is nocturnal.
  • He's pretty hipster.
  • He rocks at Facebook updates.
  • He wears a headband while playing tennis.
  • He latches to people's legs.
  • He can eat an entire ham, but gags at one piece of chicken.
  • He pretends to speak Spanish.
  • He hates Disneyland (in other words he hates happiness).
  • He knows song lyrics like LMFAO knows they are sexy.
  • He flexes in mirrors.
  • He has weak teeth.
  • He will punch all your buns.
  • He adores telemarketers.
Basically,  he is flipping amazing, and I love my wittle brover!!

I Love to See The Temple

Over Fall Break, we went to Boise for the Temple Open House.  I used to do baptisms for the dead in Boise before the Twin Falls temple was built.  It was beautiful and fun to see all of the changes.

It was an awesome break from school.  And I got to come back to fall on Monday:

On winter on Tuesday:

Chillin At The Rest Stop

STORY TIME!

My roommate, Whitney, and I really needed a break.  She happened to have left something at her family's cabin Bear Lake so, naturally we hopped in the car to go get it.  We also decided that some serious pics were in order to document our impromptu roadtrip.
So we stopped at this awesome overlook to get the canyon and lake in the background.  The picture didn't even work because it was so dang cold outside and we didn't have jackets!
And when we went to jump back into the safety of the car....it was locked.  With Whitney's keys...and phone...and wallet inside.  It was awesome.  remember how I said we didn't have jackets??
Luckily, we were seriously being watched over, because there was an unlocked BUILDING!! HALLELUJAH!!  And my crappy AT&T service was working the Logan Canyon.  Go figure?  So we called Whitney's dad so we could call AAA so we could have some serious bonding time in the reststop waiting for them to come unlock the car.
No worries.  It got resolved, and we didn't even get murdered or eaten by a mountain lion.

Yaaaa.....We got a little bored.  But it was definitely an adventure!!!

Golf Cart Danger

This summer I drove a golf cart around campus for work.  One day, I was watching the construction next to our building while driving.  And totally smacked into a garbage can in front of about 8 construction workers.  It was a super proud moment.

But this week at staff meeting, we found out someone hit a student with a golf cart.  (Whoops).  The girl is fine but her parents are suing the University, so we will probably have stricter golf cart priviledges.

Who knew that golf carts were so deadly??  I certainly didn't.  But I thought these two stories would brighten your day.  Cuz if you picture them in your mind, they are pretty darn hilarious.

How bout them Aggies??

Can I just take a moment to brag about my school?  The football game last Friday against University of Utah was intense.  BUT WE WON!!!! My throat still hurts from screaming! Seriously, it was a "jump outta your seat" type of game.  And the phrase "How bout them Aggies?" has been circling the school ever since.  And the partying that went on that night all around town was ridiculous.  Anyways, I guess you could say I like it here.  And not just because of the game haha.  But it was definitely a bonus :)

Minidoka County! YEE HAW!

This year was the first time in 10 years that I haven't entered a calf in fair.  It was really surprising how much I missed it!  Man I hate growing up.  But I did get to at least spend the weekend at the fair and rodeo.  What can I say?  I'll always be a country hick at heart.  As long as I don't have to work too hard :P

Why Yes We Do Get A Special Holiday in Utah

I loved explaining to the partcipants at work why campus would be closed on July 24th.  It's so we can party more.  :)

I went back down to Gregg & Lacey's to celebrate Pioneer Day the right way.  We watched parades, fireworks and relaxed.

Oh... And did I mention that we went to WICKED?!?

(Sneaking Pics)

It was AMAZING!! I would watch it again and again.  Driving back to work at 6:00 the next morning was rough, but SOOOOO worth it.

Thanks Gregg & Lacey!!

Families are the Bestest

After the concert, Cameron and I spent the weekend with Gregg & Lacey.  We went to the zoo, watched a Bee's game, went to Spiderman, and hung out with this cutie all weekend :)

And then Cam spent the whole week with me while he went to Tennis Camp.  And when the whole family came to pick him and stayed in my apartment... that was certainly an adventure.

But I love my family, and I love spending every minute with them :)  These are a few reasons why:

Pumped Up Birthday

After the country celebrates its birth, and everyone goes back to work, that's when Cameron has his special day :)

Awww look at the seventeen year old!

And this year we celebrated by being the hipsters that we are:

(Uncle Creeper)

Being short at concerts certainly gives your calves a workout! (tiptoes baby)

But it was super fun and SUCH a good concert.  If you haven't heard them, check out Kimbra and Foster the People.

Happy Birthday Cam!

Independence Day

After a couple days of work, I got to return to Rupert for the Fourth of July festivities :) I LOVE the Fourth in Rupert.  Christmas City can work Independence Day too.
Tuesday night, we ate at the square.  Wednesday we went to the fantastic parade

Spent the whole day on the river, and fireworks later that night.  (I've been waiting all year to do that!)

Jackson Reunion

The weekend before the fourth, I got to spend the weekend at the Jackson Reunion.  There was plenty of food, plenty of laughs, and plenty of COUSINS!

I also got to play the piano for my cousin Braxton's baptism.  Sorry no pictures :(

And on Saturday night, we watched the famous Rupert fireworks.  Again, no pictures.

But the rest of the week was just as eventful, so be watching for plenty of pics to come :)
