SURPRISE!

As Dakota and I were walking to Institute, we noticed some suspicious people with signs.  Quickly, we realized that someone was going to propose.  So, naturally, we stood there like creepers wanting to see the action.  After a couple minutes, the group asked us if we would help.

Of course we agreed and got to hold cute signs.  And after she said yes, we got to throw candy at the happy couple.  As time went on, more and more people noticed what was going on and began to gather.  It was crazy.  Buuut here they are:

C'mon In!!

So, at my apartment, we frequently have visitors.  And generally, it's my roommates' boyfriends.  So when I hear a knock at the door, my normal response is to yell "c'mon in!"  You see because it is simply too hard to walk across the room and open the door.  So last night I did this, and they didn't come in!  So I opened the door aaaaaannnnddd it was my bishopric.  I then had the joy of explaining to my bishop that I yelled come in because of all the boys in my apartment.  Whoops :)

President's Day Weekend :)

I love President's Day.  Why you ask?  Because it gives me a five day weekend :)

Public Humiliation

I have come to the conclusion that my car finds itself to be very funny.  You see, my car has a habit of occassionally not starting.  This generally happens when I'm in a hurry, in a public place, or someone is with me.  I can always coax it to start after begging and performing a strange combination of the gas and break.  But it sounds awful and completely embarrassing.  So today, when I was leaving the campus parking garage, my car decided to act up.  After trying twice, a whole family of people were walking by.  I got embarrassed and decided to wait until they left to try again.  BUUUUT, filled with concern for me, the whole family watched and pointed with concern on their faces for the poor idiot girl who couldn't start her car.  So after awhile of just smiling at them, I tried a couple more times.  I got her started and sped outta there.  I may want to look into getting my car checked, just a thought.

Fun, Family & Firesides

This weekend was very entertaining.  I went back to Rupert, where my family completely ruined my healthy eating habits.  But we went to The Sound of Music play (which was fantastic), and Erin Webster's bridal shower (fantastic as well), but after I had to leave my family again, I got to experience the MOST fantastic item of the weekend.  Elder Jeffrey R. Holland spoke at the Joseph Smith Memorial fireside specifically for the Utah State campus.  Elder Holland is my favorite speaker and it was wonderful to hear and see an apostle of the Lord so closely.  It was inspirational and geared me up for the next few weeks of school ahead of me.  Happy Monday everyone.  Do something exciting!

The Hill (Re-Vamped for Winter)

Since we FINALLY have seen some traces of real snow, I've finally been able to see what the hill's true colors are.  Slipping, quite frequently, is a must, but the bright students at USU have been innovative enough to overcome it.  For example:

We have a rope made of ipod cords, twine, etc, all tied together and attached to the top of the fence to pull yourself up.

A large garbage sack full of smaller plastic sacks at the top of the hill purely for our sliding pleasure.

Today I witnessed people LITERALLY skiing down the hill decked out in all of their gear.

Small, clumpy piles of rock salt so generously splattered (but not spread) on the ground.

Overall, it is immensely entertaining to watch others make the trek to class.

2012 Baby!

I know I haven't posted for awhile, but I was burned out from December!! Anways, it's a new year, a new semester, and I must say it is going quite well so far.  Of course, I have some goals for this year (who knows how long they'll last) but I'm giving it my best shot so far!
