The Art of Ignoring Finals

This weekend, Dakota and I decided to completely blow off studying and enjoy our birthday weekend.  So we drove to Salt Lake, shopped, looked at the lights at Thanksgiving Point, spent the night at my aunt and uncle's house and drove back to hit the hot springs.  Which, by the way, the ghetto water slide at Crystal Hot Springs is SUPER FUN!!!

But trust me, if you thought two college girls driving through Salt Lake City is scary, you should see my "to study" list for the next two days haha.

Angry Bird Countdown

Currently, I am visiting my wonderful Aunt and Uncle, Gregg and Lacey :)  And since I had a blank moment of what Christmas item to post on, Gregg informed me of the Angry Bird advent calendar.  Apparently, every day of the month, you are allowed to play a higher level of angry birds.  So all y'all apple app game fanatics, you better get in on the action.  Happy Gaming!!!

Ballet

Tis the season for the Nutcracker, the Forgotten Carols and Hansel and Gretel :)

Given it was a couple weeks ago, Addison's ballet was still very Christmas themed, and I thought I'd shard the adorable pics.

She was a bird and a gingerbread cookie.  And I gave her the flowers and stuffed animal :)  She did amazing and looked SO DANG CUTE!

Oh and by the way, it's my birthday, and my facebook is BLOWING UP!!

17 Days!!

Birthday Surprises :)

So, I know my birthday isn't until tomorrow, but I've already had tons of presents :)

During Thanksgiving Break, my mom made me a cake, and I got my presents.

And yesterday, my roommates took me to Texas Roadhouse.  I got free ice cream, strawberry lemonade and I had to ride on the saddle haha.

And then my roommate bought me "The Help" and we watched it and played Five Crowns (which I won).

And then today, I got a package from my mommy with cards, money, croutons, and Christmas cd's :)

I have such amazing friends and family :) And it's not even my birthday yet!!!

ROAD TRIP!

So, my roommate Lexi has a brother, who has a band haha.  So yesterday, we spontaneously decided to go watch them in Battle of the Bands, at 8 o'clock at night, in Provo.  Forget studying for finals!

But we had a really fun trip filled with singing, talking, random grocery store pit stops, and indie rock clubs.  By the way, his band was AMAZING!!

Deck the Halls!

Seeing as how I took down all the Halloween decorations and put up Christmas ones on Nov. 1st, I thought I'd show you some of my festive decorations.

These are only a small of part of the decorations my roommates and I have spread throughout the apartment.  But I think we can all agree that I have gotten a little more crafty since coming to college :)
